Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic IT Intern to join our IT team. This is an excellent opportunity for a fresher to gain practical exposure to IT support, desktop troubleshooting, infrastructure monitoring, networking, hardware/software management, and day-to-day IT operations.
The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of computer systems and networking, a willingness to learn, and good problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide basic technical support to employees for hardware and software-related issues.
- Assist in troubleshooting desktop, laptop, printer, scanner, and peripheral-related issues.
- Support the installation and configuration of operating systems and software applications.
- Assist with troubleshooting basic LAN, Wi-Fi, internet, and VPN connectivity issues.
- Monitor IT systems and infrastructure under the guidance of senior IT team members.
- Assist in identifying and reporting system alerts, connectivity issues, and IT incidents.
- Create and update IT support tickets and maintain proper documentation.
- Assist with user account creation, password resets, and basic access management.
- Support onboarding of new employees by preparing and configuring laptops, desktops, and required software.
- Maintain and update IT asset records and inventory.
- Coordinate with senior IT team members for resolving complex technical issues.
- Follow IT security policies and best practices while providing end-user support.
- Learn and assist with IT monitoring, incident management, and infrastructure operations.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of Windows Operating System and computer hardware.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts such as LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Basic knowledge of troubleshooting desktop, laptop, printer, and software issues.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365 applications.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong willingness to learn new technologies and IT processes.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, or a related field.
- Freshers and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Good to Have
- Basic knowledge of Active Directory.
- Exposure to IT monitoring or ticketing tools.
- Basic understanding of IT security and endpoint protection.
- Knowledge of ITIL or IT service management concepts.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications will be an added advantage.
