Position: Pattern MakerJob Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Pattern Maker to develop accurate, production-ready patterns for Men's, Women's, and Kidswear. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in garment construction, fit development, grading, and pattern correction while collaborating closely with Design, Sampling, Merchandising, QC, and Production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop garment patterns from sketches, tech packs, measurements, and reference samples.
- Create first patterns, graded patterns, and size specifications.
- Prepare patterns for sampling and bulk production.
- Conduct fit sessions and implement pattern corrections based on fit comments.
- Ensure garment fit, quality standards, and production feasibility.
- Collaborate with Design, Merchandising, Sampling, QC, and Production teams.
- Optimize marker efficiency and fabric utilization.
- Maintain pattern libraries, grading records, and technical documentation.
- Support sample development and pre-production activities.
- Troubleshoot fitting and construction issues during product development.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Fashion Technology, Apparel Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Pattern Maker in the garment industry.
- Experience across Men's Wear, Women's Wear, and Kidswear categories.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, fitting, grading, and measurement standards.
- Proficiency in manual pattern making and CAD-based pattern development.
- Understanding of fabric behavior, garment finishing, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with both woven and knitted garments.
- Working knowledge of Gerber, Lectra, TUKAcad, or similar CAD software.
- Familiarity with retail fashion and high-volume production environments.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced fashion setup.
