Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed 2D CAD drawings for structural elements such as platforms, pipe racks, skids, supports, and foundations.

Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and calculations to produce precise layout drawings.

Collaborate with structural, mechanical, and civil engineers to ensure design accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

Revise drawings based on engineering markups, client feedback, and field changes.

Ensure all drawings comply with relevant codes (e.g., ASME, API, AISC, EN, OSHA) and client specifications.

Assist in preparing Bill of Materials (BOM) and drawing packages for construction and fabrication.

Participate in design reviews with onsite engineers across the globe and provide input on constructability and drafting best practices.

Knowledge in AutoCAD blocks, attributes, working with model space and layout space required.

Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Process and Water industry experience and design knowledge of equipment layout, piping layout, are added advantage.

Documentation and Quality Control: Maintain organized records of all drawings and revisions, implement robust version control, and conduct thorough quality checks to ensure drawings are accurate, error-free, and meet project requirements and deadlines.

Adherence to Standards and Regulations: Ensure that all drawings adhere to relevant oil and gas industry standards, codes, and regulations.

Work Experience
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field.

2-4 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting, preferably in oil & gas or industrial EPC projects.

Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D); knowledge of other CAD tools like Advance steel, Revit or Navisworks is a plus.

Familiarity with structural steel detailing and fabrication drawings.

Understanding of oil & gas industry standards and practices.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills:

Experience with offshore or onshore oil & gas structures.

Knowledge of piping layouts and equipment arrangements.

Exposure to project lifecycle from concept to construction.

Familiarity with document control systems.

Proficiency in Advance Steel for 3D structural modeling is a strong added advantage.

Understanding of relevant building codes and regulations in the specific region of operation.

Awareness of safety protocols, hazard assessments, and risk mitigation strategies in oil and gas operations.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to creating accurate and precise technical drawings.
