Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented QA Engineer with 1 to 2.5 years of experience in Automation Testing and API Testing. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, automation frameworks, and REST API validation. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality through manual testing, automation testing, and API testing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documents.
- Design, create, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
- Perform Functional, Regression, Smoke, Integration, and UAT Testing.
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts.
- Conduct API testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
- Validate API requests, responses, authentication mechanisms, and error handling.
- Identify, document, track, and verify defects using bug-tracking tools.
- Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Managers, and Business Analysts.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and QA activities.
- Ensure software quality and compliance throughout the SDLC.
Required Skills
Automation Testing
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and/or Playwright.
- Experience with TestNG or JUnit frameworks.
- Understanding of Page Object Model (POM), Data-Driven, and Hybrid Frameworks.
- Experience creating and maintaining automation test scripts.
API Testing
- Hands-on experience with Postman.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP methods, and status codes.
- Experience validating API requests, responses, and payloads.
- Knowledge of API authentication methods such as Bearer Token, OAuth, and Basic Authentication.
General QA Skills
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
- Experience in Functional, Regression, Smoke, and Integration Testing.
- Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira .
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to Playwright or Cypress automation frameworks.
- Basic understanding of performance testing tools.
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Basic programming knowledge in Java, JavaScript, or Python.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1 to 2.5 years of experience in Software Testing.
- Good analytical, problem-solving.
