About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Piping Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will take ownership of comprehensive piping design activities, particularly focusing on complex Brownfield projects. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently while also providing technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers and designers. You will serve as a critical bridge between internal disciplines, vendors, and clients to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Piping Design & Execution: Lead and execute comprehensive piping design activities from conceptual stages through to detail engineering.
- Brownfield Expertise: Navigate the unique challenges of Brownfield projects, including tie-ins, routing within existing constraints, and site-specific modifications.
- Team Leadership: Work independently with minimal supervision while actively guiding, mentoring, and reviewing the work of junior piping engineers and designers.
- Inter-Discipline Coordination: Collaborate seamlessly with other engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Civil/Structural, Process, Electrical, etc.) to ensure clash-free and integrated design solutions.
- Client & Vendor Management:
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for client coordination, ensuring all specifications and expectations are met.
- Manage vendor coordination, including the review and approval of vendor data, drawings, and technical queries.
- Design Software Utilization: Work extensively with 2D engineering drawings (AutoCAD/MicroStation) and navigate/review complex layouts in standard 3D modeling software (e.g., SP3D, E3D, PDMS, or Navisworks).
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 10 to 15 years of proven, hands-on experience in piping engineering and design within the [Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / EPC] industry.
- Codes & Standards: Strong familiarity with national and international piping codes and standards (e.g., ASME B31.3, API, ASTM, ANSI).
- Technical Knowledge:
