Job Role: Foundryman
Department: Production / Foundry
Reporting To: Foundry Supervisor / Production Manager
Job Summary:
A Foundryman is responsible for carrying out foundry operations such as mould preparation, melting, pouring, casting, fettling, and handling of raw materials while ensuring quality, productivity, and safety standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare moulds and cores as per production requirements.
2. Operate foundry equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
3. Handle melting and pouring activities for metal casting processes.
4. Monitor furnace temperature and maintain proper material ratios.
5. Perform fettling, grinding, and finishing of cast components.
6. Inspect castings for defects and report abnormalities.
7. Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness in the work area.
8. Follow production schedules and achieve daily production targets.
9. Ensure compliance with safety procedures and use PPE at all times.
10. Assist in loading, unloading, and movement of materials within the foundry.
11. Coordinate with quality and maintenance teams for smooth operations.
12. Maintain records related to production and material usage.
Required Skills:
1. Basic knowledge of foundry operations and casting processes.
2. Ability to operate foundry tools and equipment.
3. Understanding of safety practices in foundry environments.
4. Physical stamina to work in high-temperature conditions.
5. Teamwork and coordination skills.
Qualification:
1. ITI / Diploma / SSLC or equivalent qualification.
2. Experience in foundry or metal casting operations preferred.
Experience:
Fresher or 1–2 years of experience in foundry/manufacturing industries.
Working Conditions:
1. Exposure to heat, dust, and industrial noise.
2. Rotational shifts may be applicable.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
