To assist in the safe and systematic handling of raw materials and packing materials, including receipt, storage, material movement, dispensing, and arrangement of materials in accordance with company SOPs, GMP requirements, and safety procedures.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Receipt of Materials
- Assist the Store Officer in receiving raw materials and packing materials from suppliers.
- Assist in unloading and shifting materials to the designated receiving/quarantine area.
- Check physical condition of containers/packages for any visible damage, leakage, or tampering.
- Assist in proper identification, labelling, and segregation of received materials.
- Follow applicable SOPs for material receipt and handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of receiving and storage areas.
B. Dispensing of Raw Materials
- Assist in dispensing raw materials as per approved Material Requisition/Dispensing Sheet.
- Ensure the correct material, batch/lot number, quantity, and status are verified before dispensing.
- Handle materials carefully to prevent contamination, mix-up, spillage, or damage.
- Maintain proper identification and status labels during dispensing.
- Follow GMP, hygiene, safety, and dispensing SOP requirements.
- Assist in cleaning the dispensing area and equipment after completion of dispensing activities.
C. Material Movement
- Carry out internal movement of raw materials and packing materials between receiving, quarantine, approved/released, dispensing, and storage areas.
- Operate material-handling equipment such as stacker, where trained and authorized.
- Ensure materials are moved safely without damaging containers or labels.
- Follow defined material movement routes and safety procedures.
D. Material Arrangement & Storage
- Arrange materials systematically in designated locations/racks/pallets.
- Follow FEFO/FIFO principles as applicable.
- Maintain segregation of materials based on material status and type.
- Ensure proper stacking and safe storage of materials.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy by ensuring materials are kept in their assigned locations.
- Report damaged, leaking, expired, or improperly stored materials to the Store Officer.
E. Housekeeping & GMP Compliance
- Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping in all assigned stores areas.
- Follow GMP, safety, hygiene, and company SOP requirements.
- Prevent material mix-ups, contamination, and cross-contamination.
- Use appropriate PPE while handling materials.
- Immediately report any abnormality, spillage, damage, or safety hazard to the supervisor.
F. Documentation & Other Duties
- Assist in maintaining required stores records and documentation.
- Support stock verification and physical inventory activities.
- Assist during internal/external audits and inspections as required.
- Perform other stores-related duties assigned by the Store Officer / Stores In-Charge.
3. Educational Qualification
Minimum Qualification:
- 10th Pass + ITI in a relevant trade, OR
- 12th Pass from a recognized board.
4. Experience
- Freshers may be considered.
- Prior experience in pharmaceutical, FMCG, chemical, manufacturing, or warehouse operations will be an advantage.
- Experience in handling raw materials and packing materials is preferred.
5. Skills & Competencies
- Basic understanding of warehouse/stores operations.
- Ability to read and understand material labels and basic instructions.
- Good physical ability for material handling and movement.
- Basic knowledge of GMP and workplace safety.
- Ability to follow SOPs and instructions accurately.
- Good housekeeping and organizational skills.
- Responsible and disciplined approach to work.
- Should be able to operate a stacker safely after appropriate training and authorization.
- Basic documentation and communication skills.
6. Safety Requirements
- Operate the stacker/material-handling equipment only after required training and authorization.
- Follow all safety precautions while lifting, shifting, and stacking materials.
- Use required PPE during material handling and dispensing activities.
- Do not operate equipment if it is defective or unsafe; immediately report the issue to the supervisor.
- Follow emergency and incident-reporting procedures.
Pay: ₹173,472.00 - ₹240,000.00 per year
