Position: Sales Head – Compost Division

Job Summary
The Sales Head – Compost Division will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies for the marketing and distribution of FCO-compliant organic compost produced from municipal solid waste processing facilities. The role involves managing dealer networks, institutional sales, government liaison, agri-input partnerships, and achieving revenue targets across Uttar Pradesh and neighboring states.
Key Responsibilities :- Sales & Business Development
- Develop and implement annual sales and marketing plans for compost products.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Identify and appoint distributors, dealers, wholesalers, and channel partners.
- Expand market presence across Uttar Pradesh and surrounding regions.
- Generate new business opportunities with farmers, FPOs, cooperatives, NGOs, and agricultural institutions.
- Build relationships with fertilizer companies and agri-input retailers.
Market Development
- Conduct market surveys and competitor analysis.
- Develop strategies to increase compost adoption among farmers.
- Organize field demonstrations, awareness programs, and farmer meetings.
- Promote the benefits of organic manure and sustainable agriculture.
Government & Institutional Liaison
- Coordinate with Agriculture Departments, Horticulture Departments, and government agencies.
- Explore opportunities under organic farming and sustainable agriculture schemes.
- Liaise with cooperative societies and large institutional buyers.
Team Management
- Lead and manage the sales team across assigned territories.
- Monitor sales performance and provide guidance to team members.
- Conduct regular sales reviews and performance evaluations.
- Recruit, train, and develop sales personnel.
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with key customers and distributors.
- Resolve customer complaints and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Monitor product availability and timely delivery.
Reporting & MIS
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports.
- Track sales forecasts, collections, and inventory movement.
- Provide market intelligence and business insights to management.
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA (Marketing/Agribusiness) preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 8–15 years of experience in fertilizer, compost, bio-fertilizer, agri-input, organic manure, or agricultural product sales.
- Proven experience in managing large dealer and distributor networks.
- Experience in Uttar Pradesh agricultural markets preferred.
