Job Profile : Junior Accounts Executive
Job Purpose :
The Junior Account Executive supports the accounts and finance team in day-to-day bookkeeping, accounting entries, invoice processing, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The role ensures accuracy of financial records, timely compliance, and smooth coordination with internal departments and external stakeholders such as vendors and clients.
Roles & Reponsibilities:
- Record day-to-day accounting transactions in Tally / QuickBooks / ERP accurately.
- Pass journal entries for expenses, receipts, sales, purchases, and adjustments.
- Ensure proper ledger classification and cost centre allocation for all entries.
- Maintain petty cash register and reconcile daily cash balances.
- Receive, verify, and process vendor invoices as per PO and GRN matching.
- Ensure timely payment to vendors as per payment terms and schedules.
- Track outstanding payables, aging reports, and escalate overdue items.
- Maintain vendor ledger and resolve payment discrepancies.

- Record receipts and update client ledgers upon payment confirmation.
- Perform weekly/monthly bank reconciliation statements (BRS).
- Reconcile vendor and customer ledgers and resolve open items.
- Prepare GST data — GSTR-1, GSTR-3B working files — for filing by senior staff.
- Ensure GST is correctly applied on all purchase and sales invoices.
- Maintain TDS deduction records and assist in TDS return preparation.
- Support in preparation of advance tax workings and income tax documentation.
- Compile and share daily/weekly MIS reports to reporting manager.
- Support in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain organized physical and digital records of invoices, vouchers, and receipts.
- Ensure all accounting entries are supported by valid documentation.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing required documents and data.
Experience Required
0–2 Years in Accounting / Finance
Qualification
B.Com / M.Com / BBA (Finance) / CA Inter / CMA Inter
