Position: Beel Development Commitee Facilitator
Location: Guwahati, Assam (Field-based)
Role Summary:
The BDC Facilitator will support day-to-day project activities across assigned Beels (one facilitator for five Beels). The incumbent will work closely with local communities and Beel Development Committees (BDCs) to ensure effective implementation of Beel Management Plans, monitor progress, and provide regular support to community institutions while ensuring alignment with overall project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate formation and effective functioning of Beel Development Committees.
- Mobilize communities and ensure stakeholder participation in project activities.
- Support implementation of fisheries and livelihood development interventions at the field level.
- Coordinate with local institutions, government departments, and community stakeholders.
- Conduct meetings, awareness programs, and capacity-building activities.
- Maintain field documentation and submit periodic progress reports.
- Monitor project activities and provide timely feedback for effective implementation.
- Travel within assigned districts as required for field coordination.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate degree in Fisheries, Social Work, Sociology, Rural Development, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in community mobilization and implementing rural development projects.
- Candidates with a degree in Fisheries and experience in EAP projects will be preferred.
- Preference will be given to women candidates.
