Job Description: Finance Executive (Solar Industry)

Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Finance Executive to manage the company’s daily accounting operations in Tally, GST filings, manage employee expenses, and prepare both monthly and site-wise Profit & Loss statements. This role is ideal for someone who is disciplined, analytical, hardworking, and capable of handling both financial and operational tasks.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Daily Tally Entries
- Record and maintain all day-to-day financial transactions in Tally, including sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
- Ensure accurate bookkeeping and maintain proper documentation of invoices, bills, vendor payments, customer receipts, and banking transactions.
- Process employee reimbursements, vendor payments, and other routine financial disbursements in a timely manner.
- Perform regular reconciliation of bank accounts, vendor ledgers, customer accounts, and other financial records to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain GST-compliant accounting records, including proper recording of input and output GST transactions.
- Prepare and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual GST filings and ensure timely compliance with statutory requirements.
- Assist in maintaining organized financial records and supporting documents for audits, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and support effective cash flow management.
2. Monthly & Site-Wise P&L Management
- Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements for the company.
- Prepare individual P&L reports for each installation project (material cost, labour, transport, margin, etc.).
- Analyse cost variances and highlight issues affecting profitability.
- Provide management with insights on financial performance and cost control.
3. Reporting & Coordination
- Maintain spreadsheets and MIS reports for accounts, inventory, and expenses.
- Coordinate with management, sales team, and site teams regarding payments, materials, and billing.
- Support internal audit requirements and documentation.
4. Project Management
- Serve as a key liaison between internal teams to ensure seamless coordination and timely execution of site installations.
- Coordinate proactively with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth and efficient project delivery.
Skills & QualificationsRequired
- Strong knowledge of Tally ERP (must).
- Basic to intermediate accounting knowledge (debit/credit, GST, reconciliation).
- Proficiency in Excel (VLookup, Pivot Table preferred).
- Organised and detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.
- Ability to multi-task between accounting, purchases, and inventory tracking.
Preferred
- Experience in construction, solar, or project-based industries.
- Ability to prepare project-level costing and P&L statements.
