Job description
We have an urgent opening for Sr. Purchase Engineer at our Navi Mumbai location. Candidates with experience in mechanical, industrial equipment, engineering products, or related manufacturing industries will be preferred.
Role & responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery requirements
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers, including pricing and payment terms
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery and quality standards are met
- Preparation of MRP ( Material Requirement Planning) Monthly
- Release PO Via ERP and follow up to ensure on-time delivery
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand material requirements and forecast demand
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize procurement processes and cost savings
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks by proactively monitoring market trends and supplier capabilities
- Participate in supplier audits and supplier development initiatives
- Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and new product developments that may impact procurement activities
Preferred candidate profile
- Diploma/ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical
- Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Understanding of Sheet Metal Fabrication & Machining Components Procurement
- Knowledge of Cost analysis from Engineering Drawings is an added advantage
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in using procurement software and tools
- Knowledge of supply chain principles and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
