Job Title: Executive-Innovations Licensing
Role Summary
The Executive-Innovations Licensing at GCViDEAL is a core role responsible for initiating and driving the scientific shortlisting of novel, patented, and clinically validated ingredients and products in the Indian markets and formulations thereof globally. This role functions as a key scientific facilitator, acting as the innovator’s "extended office" in India to bridge the gap between global partners and local manufacturing/marketing companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Partnership Development: Proactively identify and engage global innovators—focusing on the innovations in nutraceuticals and health industry—to explore collaborations.
- Product shortlisting: Follow and develop/improvise the process of shortlisting products/ingredients for the Indian market which aren’t present yet based on their novelty, scientific efficacy, and research.
- Market Assessment/Fitment Study: Undertake market assessment for the shortlisted product/ingredient as per need of the hour, price structure, and competition in the Indian market.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain consistent communication with international partners to schedule and follow up on introductory calls, including proposing and confirming meeting times across multiple time zones
- Agreement Management: Draft, distribute, and follow up on critical legal and business documents, including Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA) and Business Collaboration Agreements (BCA), ensuring their timely review and execution.
- Trade Show Coordination: Coordinate and confirm meeting requests for the Director at major global industry events such as Vitafoods (Europe/Thailand/India) and Natural Products Expo West.
- Business Model Articulation: Clearly explain GCViDEAL's unique model as an innovation licensing firm and commercial facilitator, clarifying that the company does not operate on a traditional distribution or direct buying/selling model.
- Internal Support: Provide updates and coordinate with senior management on key collaboration documents and negotiation progress.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Education: M.Tech or M.Sc in a related field such as Nutraceuticals, or a background in Food Biotechnology/Food Technology. Knowledge of cosmetics and following formulations is an added advantage.
- Technical Knowledge: Demonstrated interest in the food and health industry. Familiarity with quality control (QC) procedures, raw material sampling, sensory evaluation of finished goods, and basic laboratory techniques (e.g., microbiological analysis, biochemical analysis) is highly desirable.
- Certifications: Any completion of professional training/internship
- Professional Skills: Proven ability to manage detailed professional correspondence and documents. Skilled in communication and creating presentations.
- Experience: Previous experience in a relevant professional setting, such as a QA/QC internship in the nutraceuticals sector, is a plus.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
