We are looking for an experienced and responsible Senior Transport Supervisor to manage daily transport operations, coordinate with Junior Transport Supervisors and Drivers, ensure compliance with company/client policies, and maintain smooth and timely cab operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide Junior Transport Supervisors and ensure proper coordination between the entire transport team.
- Monitor and manage drivers, vehicles, routes, rosters, and daily operations.
- Ensure drivers follow all company, client, safety, and transport-related rules and regulations.
- Coordinate with drivers regarding shift timings, reporting, route changes, vehicle issues, and operational requirements.
- Monitor driver attendance, punctuality, behaviour, uniform, and discipline.
- Ensure proper pickup/drop operations and resolve operational issues on time.
- Check and maintain required vehicle and driver compliance documents.
- Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and required documents are valid.
- Monitor compliance with client requirements, transport SOPs, and company policies.
- Handle driver complaints and operational issues and take appropriate action.
- Coordinate with HR, Admin, Compliance, and Client Transport Teams whenever required.
- Ensure Junior Supervisors are performing their duties properly and following the assigned process.
- Review daily reports, duty sheets, attendance, incidents, and transport-related records.
- Escalate serious issues, accidents, driver misconduct, compliance failures, or operational problems to management immediately.
- Ensure proper handover between shifts and maintain effective communication within the transport team.
- Take responsibility for maintaining discipline and smooth functioning of the transport department.
Team Coordination
The Senior Transport Supervisor will act as a senior point of contact between management, Junior Supervisors, and Drivers and will be responsible for ensuring that instructions are properly communicated and followed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in transport operations employee transportation, or a similar role.
- Experience in corporate cab/employee transportation operations will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of Tricity/local routes and transport operations.
- Strong leadership and team-management skills.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle drivers and Junior Supervisors professionally.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and transport management software.
- Ability to work in rotational/night shifts when required.
- Must be disciplined, responsible, and capable of handling pressure.
Key Requirement
The Senior Transport Supervisor must ensure that all Junior Supervisors and Drivers work as per company/client rules, SOPs, compliance requirements, and operational procedures. Any violation or negligence must be identified, corrected, and reported to management on time.
