Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Accountant* to manage day-to-day financial transactions, site expenses, and billing operations. The ideal candidate must have a solid background working within a civil construction firm, possessing advanced hands-on expertise in Tally and Microsoft Excel to manage complex construction data and vendor sheets.
Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping & Accounting: Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and day-to-day transactions using Tally.
Construction Billing & Expenses: Track project-wise site expenses, verify contractor/sub-contractor bills, labor payments, and material purchase invoices.
Advanced Excel Management: Create and maintain detailed spreadsheets for material tracking, project budgeting, cash flow tracking, and variance analysis.
Vendor & Client Reconciliation: Periodically reconcile accounts with suppliers, clients, and vendors specific to ongoing construction sites.
Compliance Assistance: Assist in documenting and preparing data for GST filing, TDS deductions, and other statutory compliances relevant to construction contracts.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Education: Graduate degree in Commerce (B.Com / M.Com / BBA in Finance preferred).
Experience: Minimum 1 year of mandatory experience working as an accountant within a Civil Construction or Real Estate firm.
Software Expertise:
Proficient in Tally ERP 9 / TallyPrime.
Advanced command over MS Excel (must know formulas like VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and conditional formatting).
Industry Knowledge: Good understanding of construction-specific accounting workflows, including material inward/outward tracking, retention money, and running account (RA) bills.
