We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Control Manager to lead the quality assurance and food safety function at our manufacturing unit. The candidate will ensure that raw materials, in-process production, and finished products comply with company quality standards, food safety regulations, and customer requirements while driving continuous quality improvement initiatives. The role typically includes oversight of QMS, GMP, HACCP, regulatory compliance, audits, and supplier quality management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, HACCP, GMP, GHP, and ISO 22000/FSSC 22000 standards.
- Conduct quality inspections of raw materials, packaging materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
- Monitor product quality parameters such as moisture, size, taste, color, texture, and packaging integrity.
- Lead internal, customer, and regulatory audits and ensure audit readiness.
- Handle customer complaints, quality deviations, and implement CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions).
- Perform root cause analysis using quality tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, and Pareto Analysis.
- Ensure calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, quality manuals, and documentation.
- Train production employees on quality standards, hygiene, food safety, and GMP practices.
- Monitor sanitation, pest control, and factory hygiene programs.
- Coordinate with Production, Procurement, R&D, and Supply Chain to resolve quality issues.
- Evaluate and approve suppliers based on quality parameters.
- Analyze quality data and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports for management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce rejection, wastage, and customer complaints.
- Ensure product traceability and compliance with statutory and customer requirements.
Required Qualifications
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance in the FMCG or Food Manufacturing industry.
- Experience in snacks, packaged foods, cereals, grains, or makhana manufacturing will be preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of FSSAI regulations.
- HACCP, GMP, GHP, ISO 22000/FSSC 22000 implementation.
- Food safety and hygiene management.

- MS Excel, ERP/QMS software.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
