**Job Description: Resident Medical Officer (RMO)**
**Location:** Trinity Hospital, Zirakpur, Punjab, India
**Reports to:** Chief Operating Officer / Treating Consultants
**Job Summary:**
As a Resident Medical Officer (RMO) at Trinity Hospital, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality medical care to patients. Your primary responsibilities will include attending to emergency patients, managing admitted patients in the Inpatient Department (IPD), and ensuring accurate documentation of patient records.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Emergency Patient Care:**
- Attend to emergency cases promptly and provide initial medical assessment and treatment.
- Stabilize patients and coordinate with consultants for further management.
- Ensure adherence to established protocols for emergency care.
- Have keen knowledge of resuscitation and stabilization of injured patients (BLS protocol)
2. **Inpatient Department (IPD) Management:**
- Provide medical care to admitted patients as per treating consultant orders.
- Monitor patients' progress and update treating consultants on significant changes.
- Ensure timely administration of medications and treatments prescribed.
3. **Documentation and Record Keeping:**
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the IPD files.
- Prepare Medicolegal Case (MLC) documents for road traffic accident cases.
- Complete discharge procedures in the Hospital Management System (HMS) software.
4. **Collaboration and Communication:**
- Collaborate effectively with nursing staff, consultants, and other healthcare professionals.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment plans and progress.
5. **Compliance and Quality Assurance:**
- Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and guidelines for patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to maintaining high standards of care.
**Qualifications and Experience:**
- Undergraduate medical degree from a recognized medical institution.
- Valid medical license to practice in India.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in emergency or critical care.
**Skills and Abilities:**
- Strong clinical acumen and ability to make quick and accurate decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in medical documentation and record-keeping.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
**Working Hours:** Rotational shifts including night shifts as per hospital requirements.
