Experience & Technical Skills
- Proficient in electronic circuit design, simulation, analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Experience in high-speed circuit design including Ethernet, SGMII, DDR, USB 3.0, and WLAN interfaces.
- Hands-on experience in chipset-based IoT device development.
- Experience working with automotive and industrial-grade microcontrollers.
- Knowledge of hardware design, simulation, and project management tools.
- Experience with EMI/EMC-compliant hardware design and simulation is desirable.
- Strong understanding of IoT hardware circuit design, simulation, validation, and performance analysis.
- Experience in supporting product development from concept to production.
- Good hands-on experience with test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, logic analyzers, and power analyzers.
- Experience in PCB design and layout.
- Working knowledge of Power Electronics, including AC-DC/DC-DC power conversion, power management circuits, battery charging systems, voltage regulation, and power supply design.
- Familiarity with design standards, manufacturing processes, and hardware quality requirements.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Derive and create hardware requirements from system-level requirements.
- Develop hardware architecture and design solutions for embedded and IoT products.
- Create detailed hardware schematics and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Select and evaluate electronic components based on performance, reliability, availability, and cost.
- Perform hardware design calculations and worst-case performance analysis.
- Conduct circuit simulations and design verification.
- Prepare and maintain DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) documentation.
- Perform hardware bring-up, testing, validation, and debugging.
- Design and review PCB layouts, ensuring compliance with design guidelines and manufacturing requirements.
- Participate in hardware design reviews and technical discussions.
- Coordinate with prototype/sample build teams and manufacturing partners for hardware builds.
- Support EMI/EMC testing, certification, and compliance activities.
- Work closely with firmware, software, mechanical, and system engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Prepare technical documentation, design reports, test reports, and engineering change records.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in industrial IoT, smart energy, automotive electronics, or wireless communication products.
- Knowledge of RF design considerations and wireless technologies such as Wi-SUN, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, LoRaWAN, or Cellular IoT.
- Familiarity with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, KiCad, or equivalent.
- Understanding of product certification requirements and design-for-manufacturing (DFM) practices.
