Job Summary
The Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications accurately, ensuring safe and effective use of medicines, maintaining pharmacy records, managing inventory, and providing appropriate guidance to patients and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense medicines as per valid prescriptions.
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, and possible drug interactions.
- Provide medication counselling and instructions to patients.
- Maintain proper records of prescriptions and controlled medications.
- Monitor medicine stock, expiry dates, and storage conditions.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH standards, and applicable pharmacy regulations.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication-related queries.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the pharmacy.
- Handle pharmacy billing, inventory, and stock reconciliation where applicable.
- Report medication errors, adverse drug reactions, and near-miss incidents as per hospital policy.
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety activities.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm).
- Valid registration with the State Pharmacy Council.
- Experience in hospital or retail pharmacy is preferred.
Key Skills
- Knowledge of medicines and pharmaceutical practices.
- Prescription interpretation and dispensing accuracy.
- Inventory and stock management.
- Good communication and patient counselling skills.
- Knowledge of NABH and patient safety standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a healthcare team.
Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
