Job Title: 3D Visualisation Artist
Department: CGI
Reports To: CGI Lead
About Eccentric Engine
Eccentric Engine is a creative powerhouse pushing the boundaries of visual storytelling. We craft bold, immersive, and technically extraordinary content that sets brands apart, and we do it faster, leaner, and better than anyone else.
About the Role
We are looking for a talented 3D Visualisation Artist with excellent command over Blender to bring automotive and product scenes to life through world-class lighting, materials, and photorealistic rendering.
This role is ideal for someone who lives and breathes Blender; Cycles and Eevee, shader nodes, world/environment setup, and camera work, and who understands how to turn a finished model into a visually stunning, emotionally compelling final image or sequence.
You will work closely with the 3D Modelling team, CGI Lead, and creative teams to produce high-quality visual content across automotive launches, campaigns, configurators, cinematic presentations, and digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Creative & Technical Execution
- Create high-quality photorealistic and stylised automotive and product visualisations in Blender.
- Take finished 3D models and build out the scene; camera framing, composition, environment, and staging.
- Develop realistic lighting setups, HDRI environments, materials, and shaders (Cycles and Eevee) for premium visualisation output.
- Own look development end-to-end; from scene assembly and lighting through to rendering and post-production.
- Maintain visual consistency across multiple vehicle variants, trims, colours, and environments.
- Optimise scenes and render settings in Blender for efficient production and faster turnaround times.
- Composite and refine final renders using Photoshop and/or After Effects.
- Support animation and cinematic visualisation sequences where needed.
- Collaborate with the CGI Lead and modelling team to troubleshoot technical and creative challenges.
- Maintain organised project files and follow structured asset management practices.
- Stay current with Blender updates, rendering technologies, and automotive visualisation trends.
Production & Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with creative, production, and strategy teams to execute project requirements accurately.
- Participate in internal reviews and incorporate feedback efficiently.
- Work within fast-paced production schedules without compromising quality.
- Contribute ideas and improvements to lighting, rendering, and visualisation workflows.
- Communicate progress, blockers, and timelines proactively with the team.
Skills & Requirements
- Excellent, hands-on command over Blender — Cycles and Eevee, shader/material nodes, world and environment setup, and camera work is essential.
- Strong experience in automotive CGI lighting and photorealistic rendering.
- Good understanding of composition, colour theory, camera framing, and visual storytelling.
- Strong understanding of realistic materials, automotive paint shaders, reflections, glass, and studio lighting setups.
- Experience creating high-quality still renders and cinematic automotive visuals.
- Understanding of render optimisation and efficient scene management within Blender.
- Knowledge of rendering pipelines and turnaround optimisation techniques.
- Strong artistic visualisation skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Highly organised with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver high-quality output within deadlines.
- Degree or relevant training in Animation, Visual Effects, Computer Graphics, or related fields is preferred.
AI & Emerging Workflow Requirements
- Strong interest in AI-driven content creation and openness toward integrating AI into daily workflows.
- Experience with or exposure to AI workflow tools such as ComfyUI, Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, Runway, and Flux.
- Understanding of AI-assisted workflows for concept generation, look development, image enhancement, upscaling, and creative iteration.
- Open mindset toward improving traditional visualisation workflows using AI-assisted techniques wherever beneficial.
- Comfortable experimenting with new tools, workflows, and automation techniques.
- Understanding of prompt workflows, node-based AI systems, and iterative generation pipelines is a strong advantage.
- Awareness of ethical and production considerations while using AI-generated content.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Unreal Engine or real-time visualisation workflows.
- Knowledge of compositing and post-production workflows using Photoshop and After Effects.
- Experience working on automotive campaigns, configurators, or marketing visuals.
- Understanding of PBR workflows and real-time rendering pipelines.
- Experience in automotive animation or cinematic sequences.
- Basic Python scripting for Blender automation is a bonus.
Who You Are
- Passionate about CGI, design, and visual storytelling.
- Someone who takes ownership of their work and constantly pushes for better quality.
- Curious, adaptable, and excited by new technologies and workflows.
- A team player who collaborates well and contributes positively to the culture.
- Comfortable receiving feedback and iterating quickly.
- Focused on both craft and efficiency; you care about how great the work looks and how smartly it gets done.
