An Optometrist is a healthcare professional responsible for conducting comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing vision problems and refractive errors, prescribing spectacles and contact lenses, detecting and managing common eye diseases, providing patient education on eye health, maintaining accurate clinical records, and referring patients to ophthalmologists or other specialists when necessary. The Optometrist ensures high standards of patient care, utilizes diagnostic equipment effectively, follows clinical and regulatory guidelines, and collaborates with other healthcare and optical staff to deliver quality vision care services
