Benaka Healthcare is currently seeking applications for our production manager position. The production manager position will assist in benchmarking, designing, production, packing and delivering worldclass hospital furniture, CSSD and Scientific Equipment’s. He would be in charge of mapping exact demands of both domestic and international customers. Responsible for plant production, financial performance, meeting customer requirements and maintaining the orderly and productive operation of planned activities
The production manager has the responsibility of the production departments and manage manufacturing personnel, planning production to meet with customer requirements. The position will require a full understanding of steel, wood, board material effective manufacturing techniques. The position will be supported by a production office, covering purchasing, drawing office and programming roles.
Duties and responsibilities:

To oversee the designing products, drawing up production schedule

Ensure that production is cost effective with latest technologies
-
Decide what resources are required and delivery timelines
-
Estimate costs and set quality standards for the equipment’s

Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed
-
Be responsible for the selection and maintenance of machinery
-
Monitor product standards and implement quality control programmes
-
Liaise among different departments e.g. suppliers, sales, service people
-
Work with management to implement the company’s policies and goals
-
Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed
-
Recruiting, Supervising and motivating team of workers
-
Review work performance, identify training needs
-
Attending, documenting and communicating production meetings to the CEO
-
Work with the sales personnel and head of design in developing new prototypes
-
Build a motivated, competent and results focused manufacturing team
-
Play a key role in the quality control and review processes for continuous improvement
-
Ensure the target productivity level is achieved on a daily basis
-
Communicate and liaise with other departmental managers regarding throughput of stock to ensure production targets are met
- Data Analysis on Overall Production Effectiveness (OPE)
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
- Identifying and deploying technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including external resources as required
- Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department
- Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors
Desirable experience and skills

Three -Five years’ work experience in a production management

Proven track record in the furniture/joinery sector

Deep understanding of modern manufacturing techniques

Planning, organisation and project delivery skills

Strong communication skills to lead the overall manufacturing process

Ability to act decisively and solve staff or equipment related problems

Capacity to grasp manufacturing concepts quickly and easily

Attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality

Ability to work under pressure and motivate others to meet tight deadlines

Ability to work in a logical and systemic manner
Qualifications:
- Engineering in Manufacturing or relevant graduation required

Experience in implementing lean manufacturing tools an advantage
