As part of our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) practices across our projects, we are looking for an experienced Safety Officer who can establish, implement, and monitor robust safety systems while ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and company safety standards.
The role will work closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Contractors, PMC Representatives, Consultants, and Management Teams to create a proactive safety culture and ensure safe execution of construction activities across the project lifecycle.

Education Requirement:Mandatory Qualification:
- Diploma / Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent)
- Advanced Diploma / Diploma in Industrial Safety from a recognized institute
Preferred Certifications:
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC)
- IOSH Managing Safely
- Fire & Safety Management Certification
- First Aid Certification
Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in Construction Safety Management.
- Experience in Residential and Commercial Real Estate Projects is mandatory.
- Exposure to High-Rise Building Construction Projects preferred.
- Experience in handling Major and Minor Incidents, Accident Investigations, and Casualty Management.
- Experience in managing multiple Contractors and Subcontractors simultaneously.
- Experience working with PMC Teams, Safety Auditors, Consultants, and Statutory Authorities.
- Exposure to complete Project Lifecycle from Excavation to Project Handover.
Key Responsibilities: Safety Leadership & Governance
o Act as the primary safety representative for the project site.
o Implement and enforce company safety policies, procedures, and standards.
o Promote a proactive safety culture across all project stakeholders.
o Drive continuous improvement in project safety performance.
o Ensure adherence to company HSE objectives and statutory obligations.
- Site Safety Monitoring & Risk Management
o Conduct daily site inspections and safety walkthroughs.
o Identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and ensure immediate corrective actions.
o Conduct Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA) for critical activities.
o Perform Job Safety Analysis (JSA) before commencement of high-risk work.
o Ensure implementation of adequate safety controls for all construction activities.
- Contractor & Labour Safety Management
o Manage safety compliance of Contractors, Subcontractors, Labour Agencies, and Vendors.
o Conduct contractor safety induction and orientation programs.
o Monitor adherence to approved safety procedures and work permits.
o Issue safety notices and recommendations against repeat violations.
o Ensure closure of contractor safety observations within defined timelines.
o Drive accountability and ownership among contractor teams.
- PMC, Consultant & Authority Coordination
o Liaise with PMC representatives on all safety-related matters.
o Participate in PMC safety review meetings and project coordination meetings.
o Ensure timely closure of PMC observations, safety concerns, and NCRs.
o Present safety performance reports and compliance status to Management and PMC Teams.
o Coordinate with Consultants, Safety Auditors, and Government Authorities during inspections and audits.
- Incident Investigation & Casualty Management
o Lead investigations of incidents, near misses, first-aid cases, property damage incidents, LTIs, and major accidents.
o Handle emergency situations and coordinate with hospitals, contractors, management, and external agencies.
o Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
o Maintain accident registers and investigation records.
o Ensure implementation and effectiveness of preventive measures.
- Permit to Work (PTW) Management
o Administer and monitor Permit-to-Work systems for:
- Work at Height
- Hot Work
- Excavation Activities
- Confined Space Entry
- Electrical Isolation
- Heavy Lifting Operations
o Ensure permits are issued, monitored, and closed as per approved procedures.
- High-Risk Activity Management
o Monitor Work at Height activities.
o Ensure compliance for Scaffolding Safety requirements.
o Supervise Tower Crane and Material Hoist safety compliance.
o Ensure Excavation and Shoring safety measures are implemented.
o Monitor Electrical Safety and Hot Work activities.
o Ensure safe lifting practices and inspection of lifting tools and tackles.
- Emergency Preparedness & Fire Safety
o Develop and implement Emergency Response Plans.
o Conduct periodic emergency drills and evacuation exercises.
o Ensure fire fighting equipment is inspected and maintained.
o Coordinate with emergency response agencies whenever required.
o Ensure site readiness for fire and medical emergencies.
- Training & Safety Awareness
o Conduct daily Toolbox Talks and Safety Briefings.
o Organize Safety Campaigns, Awareness Programs, and Safety Week Activities.
o Train employees and contractors on safe work practices and emergency procedures.
o Develop and implement Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS) initiatives.
o Create safety awareness across all project stakeholders.
- Documentation, Compliance & Reporting
o Maintain all statutory and internal safety records.
o Prepare Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Safety Reports.
o Maintain compliance records for audits and inspections.
o Ensure compliance with BOCW Act and other applicable regulations.
o Manage Safety Registers, NCR Tracking, and Corrective Action Reports.
o Ensure timely submission of safety MIS and management reports.
