Job Summary
The PGT Mathematics Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, concept-based, and result-oriented Mathematics instruction to students from Grades VI to XII in accordance with the CBSE curriculum. The teacher will foster analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills while preparing students for board examinations and competitive examinations where applicable.
Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Responsibilities
- Teach Mathematics to students from Grades VI to XII following the CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare annual curriculum plans, lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessments.
- Deliver interactive and student-centred lessons using innovative teaching methodologies.
- Ensure conceptual clarity and application-based learning.
- Differentiate instruction to support students with varying learning abilities.
- Integrate technology and digital learning tools into classroom teaching.
Assessment & Evaluation
- Prepare question papers, unit tests, periodic tests, and examinations aligned with CBSE guidelines.
- Evaluate answer scripts and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate academic records, grades, and student progress reports.
- Conduct remedial and enrichment classes based on assessment outcomes.
Student Development
- Mentor students academically and personally.
- Encourage participation in Mathematics Olympiads, quizzes, exhibitions, and competitions.
- Develop students' logical reasoning, analytical skills, and mathematical aptitude.
- Promote discipline, confidence, and independent learning.
Classroom Management
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment.
- Ensure student safety and well-being at all times.
- Establish clear expectations for classroom behaviour and academic integrity.
Parent Communication
- Attend Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs).
- Communicate student progress and academic concerns effectively with parents.
- Collaborate with parents to support students' academic growth.
School Responsibilities
- Participate in school assemblies, events, examinations, workshops, and professional development programmes.
- Perform examination duties, invigilation, and other academic responsibilities assigned by the school.
- Support interdisciplinary projects and school initiatives.
- Uphold all school policies, CBSE regulations, POSH, and POCSO guidelines.
Qualification
- Master's Degree in Mathematics (M.Sc. Mathematics).
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is mandatory.
- CTET/TET qualification is preferred for middle school teaching.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school.
- Experience teaching Grades VI to XII is mandatory.
- Proven experience in preparing students for CBSE Board Examinations (Grades X & XII) is preferred.

Salary
As per school norms and candidate's qualifications and experience.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
