Position: Medical Superintendent

Job Summary
The Medical Superintendent is responsible for the overall clinical administration and smooth functioning of hospital medical services. The role ensures quality patient care, compliance with statutory and accreditation requirements, coordination among departments, and effective utilization of medical resources.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Administration
- Supervise and coordinate all medical departments and clinical services.
- Ensure quality patient care and adherence to clinical protocols.
- Monitor implementation of hospital policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines.
- Coordinate with consultants and department heads for smooth hospital operations.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards, legal regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Monitor infection control practices and patient safety initiatives.
- Conduct medical audits, mortality and morbidity meetings, and clinical reviews.
- Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of medical records.
Human Resource Management
- Supervise doctors, RMOs, nursing, and allied healthcare staff.
- Participate in recruitment, credentialing, and privileging of medical staff.
- Organize medical education programs, CMEs, and staff training sessions.
- Address clinical grievances and disciplinary issues.
Operational Responsibilities
- Monitor bed occupancy, patient flow, and emergency services.
- Coordinate with support departments such as laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and biomedical engineering.
- Ensure availability and optimal utilization of medical equipment and resources.
- Participate in disaster management and emergency preparedness planning.
Patient Care & Safety
- Ensure implementation of patient rights and ethical medical practices.
- Monitor patient satisfaction and address patient complaints related to medical care.
- Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement and patient safety.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare monthly reports on clinical performance indicators.
- Present hospital statistics, quality indicators, and compliance reports to management.
- Maintain records related to licenses, registrations, and statutory inspections.
Qualifications
- BAMS OR MBBS with MD/MS preferred.
- Registration with the appropriate Medical Council.
- Additional qualification in Hospital Administration (MHA/DHA) will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 10–15 years of clinical experience with at least 5 years in NABH hospital administration and leadership roles.

- Knowledge of NABH standards and healthcare regulations.
- Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.

Pay: ₹66,025.41 - ₹100,507.79 per month
