About the Role:
SYINRO is developing next-generation service robots for the hospitality and industrial sectors. We are designing futuristic, consumer-friendly robotic enclosures using high-grade ABS plastics.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Mechanical/Product Designer who wants to break into the robotics industry. If you have strong 3D CAD skills and want to learn how to design complex plastic enclosures for mass production, we will train you. You will work directly on designing the outer shells of our robots, taking them from software concepts to physical 3D-printed prototypes, and eventually to injection molding.
What You Will Do (with training and guidance):
- 3D CAD Modeling: Create visually appealing, modern 3D models of robot enclosures using SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or Creo.
- Prototyping: 3D print scale models of your designs to test how they look and feel, and verify how internal components fit.
- Hardware Packaging: Learn how to design internal space and mounting points for electronics, screens, Lidar, and ultrasonic sensors so they fit perfectly inside the plastic shell.
- Learn Plastic Engineering (DFM): We will train you on the fundamentals of Design for Manufacturing—teaching you how to add draft angles, maintain uniform wall thickness, and design snap-fits for ABS injection molding.
- Renderings: Create realistic product renders (using KeyShot, Blender, or CAD built-in tools) for design approvals.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or Product Design. (Freshers are welcome!).
- Software Skills: Strong foundation in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or Creo. (Knowledge of surface modeling is a huge plus).
- Passion for Design: A strong interest in consumer electronics, automotive design, or robotics.
- Portfolio Required: You must submit a portfolio containing 3D CAD models you have designed (college projects, personal projects, or practice models are perfectly fine).
