Assistant Manager: Semiconductor Supply Chain / Capacity Management
Position Summary
The Assistant Manager – Semiconductor Supply Chain will be responsible for ensuring supply continuity, capacity visibility, risk mitigation, and supplier management across semiconductor commodities and the ecosystem. The role will work closely with Procurement, Engineering, suppliers, and global stakeholders to strengthen supply chain resilience, optimize costs, and support strategic sourcing decisions in a rapidly evolving semiconductor market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to manage and optimize semiconductor supply chain and capacity management.
- Analyze capacity data and forecasts to ensure alignment with production schedules and demand plans.
- Collaborate with suppliers to understand their capacity constraints and develop plans to address potential bottlenecks.
- Monitor and report on supplier capacity performance, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance capacity management processes and performance.
- Work closely with Procurement, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to anticipate and address capacity-related issues.
- Conduct regular capacity reviews with suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and production requirements.
- Support negotiations with suppliers by providing capacity-related insights and data.
- Develop and maintain capacity planning tools, dashboards, and reports.
- Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and market conditions that could impact capacity.
- Support contract negotiations, long-term agreements (LTAs), and supply assurance initiatives.
