The Role
We're looking for a Social Media Marketing Assistant who will be the creative engine behind STONED's presence on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest. This is not a scheduled-post-and-report role. This is a daily, hands-on, content-first position where you will plan, shoot, edit, post, and iterate — every single day.
You will work directly alongside the founder, sitting together to plan content strategy, review what's working, spot trends, and decide what goes live next. Your work will be seen by a global audience.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Content Creation & Daily Posting
- Plan, shoot, edit, and publish daily short-form videos — Reels, Stories, and Pinterest video pins — consistently without gaps
- Maintain a daily content calendar across Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest
- Ensure every piece of content is on-brand — aesthetically consistent, visually sharp, and story-driven
- Appear on camera for behind-the-scenes content, product showcases, unboxings, and brand storytelling videos
Strategy & Planning
- Sit with the founder daily for content planning sessions — brainstorming, reviewing performance, and mapping the week ahead
- Develop monthly content themes aligned with product launches, seasons, and campaigns
- Identify content gaps and proactively propose new formats, series, or campaigns
- Build and maintain a trend tracker — documenting what's working in jewelry, fashion, and lifestyle content in real time
Platform-Specific Execution
- Instagram: Reels, carousels, Stories, Close Friends content, collaborations — full channel ownership
- Facebook: Adapted content, community engagement, product posts, and event promotion
- Pinterest: Board architecture, Rich Pins, SEO-optimized pin descriptions, and traffic-driving strategy
- Optimize all content with relevant hashtags, keywords, Alt text, and captions for discoverability
Trends & Innovation
- Monitor trending audio, formats, transitions, and challenges daily across platforms
- Adapt global trends to fit STONED's luxury fine jewelry aesthetic
- Test new content formats weekly and report findings back to the founder
- Follow competitor and aspirational brand accounts to stay ahead of the curve
Community & Engagement
- Respond to comments, DMs, and mentions promptly and in the brand's voice
- Build genuine engagement with followers — not just post and disappear
- Identify and flag potential collaboration opportunities with creators, stylists, and micro-influencers
Analytics & Reporting
- Track key metrics weekly — reach, impressions, saves, shares, follower growth, and engagement rate
- Present simple weekly performance reports with observations and recommended next actions
- Use data to inform content decisions — double down on what works, drop what doesn't

- Camera confident — comfortable on-screen for BTS, product features, and talking-head content (non-negotiable)
- Strong aesthetic sensibility — you understand composition, lighting, color, and visual storytelling
- Sharp trend awareness — you know what's going viral this week, not last month
- Storytelling ability — you can make a gemstone ring feel like an emotion in a caption or a 15-second video
- Self-driven and proactive — you come to work every morning with ideas, not waiting to be told what to create
- Collaborative mindset — you thrive working closely with a founder and enjoy daily strategy conversations
- Proficiency in CapCut, InShot, or any editing tool you're comfortable with
- Basic understanding of SEO for social — hashtags, keywords, searchability
- Bonus: prior experience with a jewelry, fashion, or lifestyle brand
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Marketing, Mass Communication, Media, Fashion, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 0–2 years of experience in social media content creation or marketing
- Portfolio, personal Instagram handle, or any content you've created — mandatory to share during application
