Job Summary
The Cost Accountant is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and controlling manufacturing costs. The role involves preparing cost sheets, analyzing production variances, monitoring raw material consumption, inventory valuation, budgeting, and providing management with accurate cost information to support business decisions and profitability improvement.
Key ResponsibilitiesCosting & Cost Analysis
- Prepare product-wise cost sheets and BOM (Bill of Materials) costing.
- Calculate standard costs and compare with actual costs.
- Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances.
- Monitor production costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Review manufacturing expenses and recommend improvements.
Inventory & Stock Management
- Verify raw material, WIP, and finished goods valuation.
- Monitor inventory movement and consumption.
- Conduct monthly stock reconciliations.
- Support physical stock audits and cycle counts.
- Ensure accurate inventory accounting in ERP systems.
Budgeting & MIS Reporting
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
- Prepare monthly cost reports and management MIS.
- Analyze profitability by product, customer, and region.
- Monitor budget vs actual expenditure.
Production Cost Control
- Track machine utilization and production efficiency.
- Analyze wastage, rejection, and yield reports.
- Monitor labor productivity and manufacturing overheads.
- Work closely with Production, Purchase, and Stores departments.
Compliance & Audit
- Support statutory and internal audits.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Maintain cost records and supporting documentation.
- Assist in GST and financial reporting requirements.
ERP & System Management
- Maintain costing data in ERP software.
- Generate reports for management review.
- Ensure accuracy of BOMs and routing information.
Required Qualifications
- CA Inter / CMA Inter / CMA Qualified / M.Com / MBA Finance.
- 3–8 years of experience in manufacturing costing.
- Experience in FMCG, Food Processing, Confectionery, Pharma, or Manufacturing industries preferred.

Preferred for Confectionery/Food Manufacturing
- Experience in candy, chocolate, biscuit, bakery, snacks, or food manufacturing.
- Knowledge of yield analysis, recipe costing, BOM costing, and wastage control.
- Understanding of raw material consumption and production efficiency metrics.
Experience: 0–1 Years
CTC: As per company standards
Industry Preference: FMCG / Food Processing / Confectionery Manufacturing / Consumer Goods Manufacturing.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹66,875.62 per month
