Job Description – Deputy Manager / Manager – Recoveries

Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Recoveries professional to manage collections, NPA recovery processes, legal recovery actions, and compliance activities. The role requires strong expertise in handling delinquent accounts, recovery strategies, SARFAESI proceedings, legal coordination, and minimizing credit losses while ensuring adherence to RBI guidelines and bank policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle NPA accounts and drive recovery action plans
- Manage recovery through follow-ups, legal recourse, and settlement negotiations
- Scrutinize NPA review sheets and prepare recovery MIS reports
- Assist in Wilful Default identification and process management
- Handle SARFAESI proceedings including 13(2), 13(4), possession notices, valuation, auction process, and reserve price approvals
- Coordinate recovery through DRT, arbitration, insolvency, and money suits
- Liaise with Revenue Officers, Court Commissioners, Police authorities, and legal teams for enforcement actions
- Monitor SMA and overdue loan accounts to ensure timely recoveries
- Conduct field visits and negotiate settlements with borrowers
- Process compromise settlements and technical write-offs
- Ensure compliance with RBI IRAC norms and internal recovery policies
- Carry out periodic valuation and inspection of secured assets
- Prepare management and board-level MIS reports on recovery performance
Candidate Requirements:
- Graduate in Commerce, Finance, or Banking
- MBA (Finance) or LLB preferred
- 5–10 years of experience in Recoveries, Collections, Credit Monitoring, or NPA Management
- Experience in UCB, PSU Banks, NBFCs, or Financial Institutions preferred
- Strong knowledge of SARFAESI, DRT, Insolvency, and RBI compliance guidelines
- Excellent negotiation, legal coordination, and stakeholder management skills
