Don Bosco Tech Society is seeking a qualified and experienced Trainer – Warehouse Associate to deliver high-quality vocational training aligned with the Warehouse Associate (LSC/Q0101) job role. The Trainer will be responsible for imparting theoretical knowledge and practical skills related to warehouse operations, inventory handling, material movement, storage, order processing, and workplace safety.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in warehousing and logistics operations, along with the ability to effectively train and mentor youth and job seekers. The Trainer will ensure that trainees develop the practical competencies, workplace discipline, and employability skills required for successful careers in the warehousing and logistics sector.
Location: Don Bosco Tech - Kuntighat, West Bengal
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom and practical training aligned with the Warehouse Associate (LSC/Q0101) curriculum and applicable training standards.
- Provide hands-on training on warehouse operations, including receiving, unloading, checking, sorting, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods.
- Train candidates on proper material handling techniques and safe movement of goods within warehouse facilities.
- Demonstrate the use of warehouse equipment, tools, and material handling systems, as applicable.
- Train learners in inventory management, stock counting, stock identification, and basic documentation procedures.
- Explain warehouse processes such as Goods Receipt, Put-away, Picking, Packing, Dispatch, and Returns.
- Develop trainees' understanding of FIFO/FEFO, inventory accuracy, storage practices, and warehouse organization.
- Train candidates in the use of basic warehouse documentation and digital systems, including inventory records and warehouse management systems (WMS), where applicable.
- Ensure trainees understand workplace health, safety, hygiene, and emergency procedures.
- Conduct practical demonstrations, assessments, role plays, and hands-on activities to enhance learning outcomes.
- Monitor trainee performance and provide regular feedback and remedial support.
- Maintain attendance records, assessment records, training documentation, and other required reports.
- Support trainees in developing workplace communication, teamwork, discipline, and employability skills.
- Coordinate with the Centre Manager and relevant stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of the training program.
- Facilitate industry exposure, workplace visits, guest sessions, and placement-oriented activities, where required.
- Ensure training delivery is learner-centric, practical, inclusive, and aligned with industry requirements.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in any relevant discipline, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant vocational or industry certifications in warehousing and logistics will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Preferred: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in warehousing and logistics operations.
- Minimum: At least 1 year of relevant hands-on experience in warehousing, with preference given to candidates having substantial industry exposure.
- Prior experience in vocational training, teaching, mentoring, or skill development will be an added advantage.
