Job Summary
Meluha International School, Hyderabad is seeking a creative, versatile, and detail-oriented Visual Content Creator - Photography & Videography to capture the vibrant life of the school and create compelling visual content that strengthens the institution's brand presence and supports admissions initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, capturing, editing, and delivering high-quality photographs and videos that showcase the school's academics, co-curricular activities, campus facilities, student achievements, faculty excellence, and community engagement. The role demands expertise in both photography and videography, enabling the creation of authentic, story-driven content for digital marketing, social media, the school website, advertisements, and promotional campaigns.
The successful candidate should possess excellent creative vision, strong technical expertise, exceptional storytelling skills, and the ability to work effectively in dynamic school environments while ensuring adherence to child safety and consent protocols.
Key Responsibilities
1. Content Planning & Pre-Production
- Collaborate with the Marketing, Social Media, and Admissions teams to develop an annual visual content calendar aligned with the academic calendar and admissions campaigns.
- Plan and schedule regular content creation days to capture authentic classroom learning, laboratories, sports, arts, campus life, and student engagement throughout the year.
- Prepare detailed shot lists based on key marketing content pillars, including:
- Campus & Infrastructure

- Admissions Campaigns
- Coordinate with the Admissions and Administration teams to ensure all necessary permissions and parental consents are obtained prior to photographing or filming students.
- Identify creative storytelling opportunities that highlight the school's unique educational philosophy and campus culture.
2. Photography
- Capture high-quality candid and posed photographs across all school activities, including:
- Classroom learning

- Produce professional portrait photography for leadership, faculty, staff profiles, and website directories.
- Photograph school infrastructure including classrooms, laboratories, library, sports facilities, hostel, cafeteria, transportation, and other campus amenities for promotional materials.
- Provide photography coverage for admissions events, open houses, parent-teacher meetings, exhibitions, competitions, and institutional events.
- Deliver edited photographs within agreed timelines to support timely marketing and social media campaigns.
3. Videography
- Produce engaging short-form videos for:

- Capture everyday campus experiences, classroom interactions, student life, teacher highlights, event snippets, and admissions campaigns.

- Plan and execute interview-style video shoots with appropriate lighting, framing, audio, and direction to ensure natural and engaging presentations.
- Create basic motion graphics, transitions, lower-thirds, captions, and text overlays for social media and promotional videos.
- Ensure all video content aligns with the school's branding guidelines and marketing objectives.
4. Post-Production & Editing
- Professionally edit and enhance photographs using colour correction, retouching, cropping, and brand-consistent styling.
- Edit videos for multiple platforms, ensuring appropriate aspect ratios and pacing for:
- Instagram Reels
- YouTube
- Website
- Digital Advertisements
- Presentations
- Optimise videos with subtitles, captions, branding elements, background music, and visual enhancements where appropriate.
- Deliver same-day or next-day edited content for time-sensitive events and social media campaigns.
- Manage longer editing projects such as admissions films and annual event documentaries with high production quality.
- Maintain an organised digital content library with properly categorised photographs, videos, and project files for future marketing use.
- Ensure all digital assets are securely archived and easily accessible for internal stakeholders.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the Social Media Strategist to provide ready-to-publish visual content for digital platforms.
- Coordinate with the Website & SEO Specialist to optimise visual assets through proper file naming, image optimisation, alt-text recommendations, and web-friendly compression.
- Support the Digital Marketing and Performance Marketing teams by producing creative assets for paid advertising campaigns.
- Collaborate with the Admissions, Academic, Residential, and Administration teams to identify meaningful stories and significant school moments suitable for visual storytelling.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop innovative visual campaigns that enhance admissions and institutional branding.
- Ensure all content reflects the school's values, professionalism, and educational excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Photography, Cinematography, Visual Communication, Mass Communication, Multimedia, Film Production, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in Photography, Videography, Video Editing, or Digital Media will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 3–5 years of professional experience in photography and videography for marketing, branding, education, events, lifestyle, or documentary-style content.
- Demonstrated experience in both photography and videography workflows is mandatory.
- Experience working in educational institutions, schools, universities, or child-focused organisations will be highly preferred.
- Proven experience covering live events, cultural programmes, and dynamic environments.
- Experience photographing and filming children while adhering to child protection and consent protocols is essential.
- A strong portfolio showcasing candid photography, event coverage, documentary storytelling, and short-form social media videos is mandatory.
