The Welding Quality Inspector is responsible for checking and ensuring that all welding works are done as per quality standards, drawings, and specifications. They will inspect weld joints, identify defects, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect welding work during and after completion.
- Check weld joints as per drawings and welding standards.
- Identify welding defects such as cracks, porosity, undercut, etc.
- Ensure welding procedures and parameters are followed properly.
- Maintain inspection reports and quality records.
- Coordinate with production and welding operators to correct quality issues.
- Ensure safety and quality standards are maintained in the welding area.
- Support quality audits and internal inspections.
Qualification:
- Diploma / ITI in Welding / Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience in welding inspection in a manufacturing industry.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of welding processes (MIG, TIG, ARC welding).
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of welding defects and inspection methods.
- Basic knowledge of measuring instruments.
