Hardware Project Coordinator is a specialized liaison who supports product development and engineering teams. He/She act as the bridge between R&D, procurement, and manufacturing, tracking hardware project builds, managing Bills of Materials (BOMs) used o PCB's, and ensuring technical teams have the necessary components to stay on schedule.
- Build & Material Tracking: Configure and update Bills of Materials (BOMs), track build matrices, and proactively manage clear-to-build (CTB) material issues.
- Procurement Support: Facilitate purchase orders (POs), obtain vendor quotes, and ensure seamless delivery of electronic components and prototyping hardware.
- Schedule & Progress Monitoring: Create step-by-step project plans, monitor daily progress, and generate detailed status reports for top managment
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact between engineering labs, contract manufacturers (CMs), and supply chain teams.
- Inventory & Asset Management: Oversee hardware inventory, track asset configurations, and ensure accurate distribution of Engineering samples.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project records, including schematics, engineering changes, timelines, and meeting action items.
Essential Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Administration.
- Experience: 1–2 years of experience in hardware development, electronics manufacturing, or technical project coordination.
- Technical Acumen: Familiarity with hardware lifecycles, supply chain logistics, and Contract Manufacturer (CM) processes.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Microsoft Project) and advanced spreadsheet management (MS Excel, Google Sheets).
- Communication: Exceptional organizational, communication, and conflict-resolution skills to manage tight hardware build deadlines.
