Job Summary
We are seeking an IT Support Engineer with manufacturing industry exposure to manage IT infrastructure, automation interfaces, and production digitalization across multiple manufacturing units. The role involves close coordination with shop-floor, automation, and management teams, and active participation in Industry 4.0 and AI-based manufacturing initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesManufacturing IT & Automation Support
- Provide end-to-end IT support for manufacturing operations across multiple units.
- Support and coordinate troubleshooting for PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems.
- Maintain and support Production Monitoring / MES / OEE software.
- Implement, manage, and optimize production dashboards for real-time visibility.
- Configure and troubleshoot Load Cells, weighing systems, and industrial sensors.
- Ensure reliable machine-to-server data connectivity (OPC-UA, Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
Infrastructure & Network Management
- Monitor and manage CCTV systems, including bandwidth utilization and uptime.
- Support industrial networking, LAN/WAN connectivity between multiple plants.
- Ensure system availability, backups, access control, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Coordinate with ISPs, CCTV vendors, and system integrators.
Digital & AI Initiatives
- Support AI and Industry 4.0 tools for manufacturing optimization.
- Assist in implementation of predictive maintenance, production analytics, and reporting tools.
- Integrate machine data into dashboards and management MIS systems.
Required Skills & ExperienceMandatory
- Experience working in a manufacturing / factory environment.
- Willingness to handle IT operations for multiple units and travel as required.
- Hands-on exposure to:
- PLC systems (Siemens / Allen Bradley / Schneider preferred)
- SCADA platforms (WinCC, Ignition, Wonderware, etc.)
- Production Monitoring / OEE / MES software
- Experience in production dashboard implementation.
- Knowledge of Load Cell configuration and calibration.
- CCTV system management, including bandwidth monitoring and optimization.
Technical Knowledge
- Industrial networking (Ethernet, Modbus, OPC-UA).
- Windows Server, SQL basics, backups, and user access control.
- Understanding of shop-floor data acquisition and reporting.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to AI/ML tools in manufacturing or Industry 4.0 projects.
- Experience integrating machine data with BI tools or analytics platforms.
- Prior experience supporting multi-plant manufacturing operations.
Qualifications
- Diploma / BE / BTech in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation.
- Relevant certifications in PLC, SCADA, Networking, or Industry 4.0 are an advantage.
