Job Summary
A Floor Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of a retail store or other business unit within a company. They are responsible for ensuring that employees are meeting sales and customer service targets, maintaining inventory levels, and managing daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise a team of sales associates and other staff members
- Ensure that all employees are meeting sales targets and providing excellent customer service
- Maintain inventory levels and ensure that products are stocked and displayed properly
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Resolve customer complaints and respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner
- Train and develop employees to ensure that they are equipped with the necessary skills to succeed in their roles
- Monitor and analyse sales and customer data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and manage a team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with inventory management and retail operations
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in business or a related field (preferred)
- Previous experience in retail or a related industry
