Role Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Engineer to drive business development for our Heavy Engineering, Structural Fabrication, and PEB division.
The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of structural steel, fabrication processes, industrial projects, and B2B technical sales. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, developing relationships with EPC contractors, consultants, industrial clients, and project owners, while coordinating closely with engineering and estimation teams to convert enquiries into successful projects.
This is a client-facing role requiring regular meetings, technical discussions, site visits, and negotiations with decision-makers across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in PEB, Heavy Engineering, Structural Steel Fabrication, and EPC projects.
- Generate qualified leads through networking, industry contacts, LinkedIn, exhibitions, referrals, and cold outreach.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with EPC contractors, consultants, architects, project management companies, and industrial clients.
- Understand client requirements and coordinate with internal engineering and estimation teams for technical and commercial proposals.
- Prepare and present technical presentations, capability profiles, and commercial quotations.
- Conduct client meetings, factory visits, and site visits to understand project requirements.
- Follow up on enquiries until project closure and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
- Negotiate commercial terms while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and upcoming industrial projects.
- Collaborate with production and project teams to ensure smooth execution after order confirmation.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in B2B sales within PEB, Structural Steel Fabrication, Heavy Engineering, Industrial Construction, or EPC projects.
- Strong understanding of fabrication drawings, structural steel components, and industrial project execution.
- Proven experience in client acquisition and business development.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and discuss technical requirements with customers.
- Experience working with consultants, EPC contractors, industrial clients, and government projects is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and project discussions.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
