Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineering Lead, a typical day involves overseeing the technical vision and architectural framework of bespoke software projects. This role requires guiding teams through the entire lifecycle of software development, from initial design concepts to final delivery. The position demands ensuring that development practices meet high standards for quality, scalability, and performance, all while aligning with the strategic goals of the organization. Collaboration with various stakeholders and continuous evaluation of technical approaches are integral parts of the daily routine, fostering innovation and effective problem-solving within the team environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Expected to provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams.
- Lead the establishment and enforcement of development standards to maintain code quality and consistency.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software delivery processes and technical capabilities.
Role Description:
- Experienced Aspiring Manager / Delivery Lead .The role requires a strong blend of P&C domain expertise, hands-on experience with the Microsoft technology stack (Azure/.NET ecosystem) and experience in IBM AS400 is desirable.
- Proven capability in managing both Application Development (AD) and Application Maintenance & Support (AMS) engagements.
- The individual will act as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders, ensuring seamless continuity of engagement, driving delivery excellence, and proactively managing governance, escalations, and service improvements.
- Prior exposure to account management, financials, and growth opportunities.
- The ideal candidate should bring 12–15+ years of experience, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to lead distributed teams while maintaining high client satisfaction and delivery quality.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft ASP.NET.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with IBM AS /400 Administration, Microsoft Azure Data Services.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture principles and design patterns relevant to custom software development.
- Experience in managing and optimizing application performance and scalability.
- Ability to lead code reviews and enforce best practices in software engineering.
- Familiarity with cloud-based services and integration techniques to support modern application environments.
