EXIM Manager Logistics and Inland Transport Operations
Role Summary
Senior EXIM Manager responsible for end to end export and import operations, customs clearance, BIS compliance, PIMS and SIMS governance, and inland transport for an e commerce business with both B2B and B2C dispatch operations.
The EXIM role Involves;
EXIM Operations and Compliance
Ø CTH Classification checking for the Imported ITEMS,
Ø Checking for various document requirements like LMPC, EPR, PIMS, SIMS, BIS, WPC...etc. and ensuring that the same is available for the imports.
Ø Knowledge about IGCR Clearance and end-to-end IGCR Management from application to closure
Ø CHA co-ordination, Duty calculations, Checklist Verification, corrections,
Ø Coordination with Customs Office for Query resolutions and discussions about consignments, including attending PH.
Ø Risk Mitigation policies and process discussions to the Import Co-ordinators in China.
PIMS and SIMS Governance
Ø Own Product Information Management System data quality for EXIM declarations and customs filings.
Ø Manage Supplier Information Management System onboarding, KYC, and vendor master data for procurement and compliance.
Ø Implement data validation rules between PIMS/SIMS and ERP/TMS to eliminate declaration errors.
Inland Transport and Fulfilment
Ø Design and operate inland transport network for FTL/LTL, hub and spoke consolidation, cross dock and last mile for B2B and B2C channels.
Ø Manage carrier selection, rate negotiations, SLAs, route optimization and seasonal surge planning.
Ø Oversee reverse logistics and returns transport flows with cost and SLA controls.
Vendor and Carrier Management
Ø Negotiate contracts, freight rates, service level agreements and penalty clauses with carriers, 3PLs and customs brokers.
Ø Implement carrier scorecards, quarterly reviews and corrective action plans.
Ø Drive vendor consolidation and strategic sourcing to improve service and reduce cost.
Systems and Integration
Ø Lead TMS, WMS and ERP integrations with marketplaces and 3PLs using EDI/API.
Ø Configure and maintain customs filing software and electronic manifesting tools.
Ø Use PIMS/SIMS to automate compliance checks and pre lodgement validations.
Performance Management and Reporting
Ø Define and track KPIs for OTD, transit time, clearance time, freight cost per unit, damage rate and return cost.
Ø Prepare weekly and monthly dashboards for senior leadership and commercial teams.
Ø Lead root cause analysis for SLA breaches and implement continuous improvement projects.
Required Qualifications and Experience
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Commerce or related field. MBA or postgraduate diploma in Supply Chain is preferred.
· Experience: 6-8 years in EXIM and inland logistics with at least 3 years in e commerce transport operations handling both B2B and B2C dispatches.
· Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of customs procedures, HS classification, Incoterms, GST on imports, BIS certification requirements, PIMS and SIMS workflows, TMS/WMS and EDI/API integrations.
· Systems: Hands on experience with TMS, WMS, ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
· Regulatory: Proven experience managing customs, CHAs and BIS compliance for consumer goods.
· Skills: Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, analytical and Excel skills. Experience with process automation and Lean or Six Sigma is an advantage.
Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹960,000.00 per year
