Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Sales Manager – Limestone & Mineral By-Products to lead and manage the complete sales function for limestone and its related by-products. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of proven sales experience in the limestone, mining, minerals, aggregates, cement raw materials, or related industries, with a strong network of industrial customers and a track record of achieving sales growth and profitability targets.
The role requires ownership of the entire sales cycle, from business development and customer acquisition to contract negotiation, pricing strategy, market intelligence, and customer relationship management.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase revenue from limestone and related by-products.
- Identify and acquire new customers across industries including cement, steel, construction, chemical, agriculture, glass, paper, water treatment, and other industrial sectors.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline and convert opportunities into long-term business relationships.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales volume and revenue targets.
- Expand market presence in existing and new geographical territories.
Customer Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, procurement heads, plant managers, and business owners.
- Conduct regular customer visits to understand requirements and provide suitable product solutions.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and timely resolution of customer concerns.
Pricing & Contract Management
- Negotiate pricing, supply agreements, and commercial terms with customers.
- Prepare quotations, tenders, and commercial proposals.
- Monitor market pricing trends and recommend pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
- Manage annual contracts and long-term supply agreements.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, customer demand, and emerging market opportunities.
- Gather and analyze market data to support strategic business decisions.
- Identify opportunities for introducing new limestone grades and value-added by-products.
Sales Operations & Coordination
- Coordinate with production, mining, logistics, dispatch, and finance teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Monitor inventory availability and align sales commitments with production capacity.
- Track receivables and ensure timely collection of outstanding payments from customers.
- Prepare sales forecasts and demand projections.
Reporting & Performance Management
- Maintain accurate CRM and sales records.
- Prepare periodic sales reports, forecasts, market analysis, and management presentations.
- Recommend strategies for revenue growth and market expansion.
- Support senior management in business planning and budgeting activities.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Mining Engineering, Geology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA (Sales/Marketing) preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years specifically in limestone, industrial minerals, aggregates, mining products, cement raw materials, or related mineral industries.
- Demonstrated experience handling bulk industrial customers and B2B sales.
- Strong understanding of limestone grades, specifications, applications, logistics, and market dynamics.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
