Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced architect, academician, or domain expert to join our department as a Visiting Faculty for a 30-hour specialized course. The ideal candidate will bring strong professional or theoretical expertise to deliver industry-relevant knowledge, lead hands-on studios or lectures, and mentor architecture students in contemporary design practices, specialized software, or domain-specific subjects.
Key Responsibilities
- Course Delivery: Plan and deliver a structured 30-hour curriculum engagingly through lectures, studio sessions, or practical workshops.
- Curriculum Alignment: Design course modules, reading materials, assignments, and practical exercises aligned with industry standards and learning outcomes.
- Student Assessment: Evaluate student projects, design portfolios, assignments, and presentations, offering constructive design critiques.
- Industry Connection: Integrate real-world case studies, professional workflows, and contemporary building practices into classroom instruction.
Key Skills & CompetenciesTechnical & Professional Skills
- Domain Expertise: Advanced knowledge in specialized fields (e.g., Parametric Design, Sustainable Architecture, BIM/Revit, Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Building Services, or Heritage Conservation).
- Software Proficiency: Expertise in relevant tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, SketchUp, Enscape, V-Ray, or GIS applications.
- Design Pedagogy: Ability to conduct effective jury reviews, studio crits, and interactive design workshops.
Soft Skills
- Communication: Clear verbal articulation to explain complex spatial concepts and construction techniques.
- Mentorship: Passion for guiding design students and helping them build strong design portfolios.
- Time Management: Ability to pace and cover the 30-hour syllabus effectively within the scheduled timeline.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch / M.Arch) or a related design discipline from a recognized institution.
- Council Registration: Valid registration with the relevant architectural authority (e.g., Council of Architecture / local architectural board).
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of professional practice or previous teaching experience at the university level.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
