Job Description
We're looking for an experienced and analytically-minded Financial Controller to join our organization in Chennai, India. In this pivotal leadership role, you will partner closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to drive financial excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, and influence strategic decision-making across the organization. Lead all financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and statutory compliance activities in accordance with Indian accounting standards (Ind AS) and local regulatory requirements

Provide accurate, timely, and insightful financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making by senior leadership

Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management functions, ensuring accuracy and operational efficiency

Manage and optimize financial processes and internal controls, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation

Support capital expenditure planning, investment initiatives, and financial feasibility assessments for organizational projects

Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, building capability, driving accountability, and fostering professional growth

Ensure compliance with GST, income tax, and other statutory obligations specific to Indian operations

Prepare and present financial statements, variance analyses, and performance metrics to stakeholders with clarity and transparency

Collaborate with department heads to develop realistic budgets and monitor performance against established targets

Utilize ERP systems and financial tools to streamline reporting and enhance data-driven decision-making
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or equivalent professional qualification

Proven experience (minimum 5+ years) in a Financial Controller or senior finance management role, preferably within complex or multi-unit operations

Strong expertise in Indian accounting standards (Ind AS), GST compliance, and Indian tax regulations

Demonstrated proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar platforms)

Solid understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis methodologies

Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management functions

Proven track record of leading and developing finance teams with strong mentoring capabilities

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail

Strong commercial mindset with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights

Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly

Experience with capital investment projects, CAPEX planning, or asset improvement initiatives is highly valued

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and advanced data analysis techniques

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
