Job Description – Inventory Auditor (Part-Time)
About Us
MyHostelRoom is one of Pune's fastest-growing student accommodation providers, managing multiple premium hostels across the city. We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Auditor to ensure that all hostel assets are accurately tracked and maintained.
Inventory Auditor (Part-Time)
Approximately 20 hours per week, with either of the following options:
- 4 full working days per week, or
- Half-day (approximately 4 hours) every weekday
Schedule can be finalized based on mutual convenience.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit assigned hostel properties regularly.
- Physically verify hostel inventory, including:
- Furniture (beds, wardrobes, study tables, chairs, etc.)
- Electrical appliances (ACs, geysers, washing machines, refrigerators, microwaves, TVs, etc.)
- Electronics and miscellaneous assets
- Compare physical inventory with company records.
- Update inventory records and Excel sheets accurately.
- Report shortages, damages, missing items, or discrepancies.
- Photograph damaged or missing assets whenever required.
- Coordinate with Hostel Managers regarding inventory issues.
- Submit weekly inventory reports to the Operations Head/Management.
- Assist in annual and surprise inventory audits.
- Maintain proper documentation of asset movement between hostels.
- Suggest improvements to inventory tracking and control systems.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel (mandatory).
- Basic understanding of inventory management.
- Honest, responsible, and trustworthy.
- Ability to travel between hostel properties across Pune.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate with good grades in education.
- Prior experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, auditing, facilities management, or hostel/property management is preferred but not mandatory.
- Two-wheeler with a valid driving licence will be an added advantage.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
