Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Performance Analyst to join our team and deliver insights that drive operational excellence and client value. This role will monitor key performance indicators, analyze portfolio and property performance metrics, and provide actionable recommendations that optimize service delivery across our commercial real estate operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerformance Measurement & KPI Tracking Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators across property portfolios, facility management contracts, and client accounts. Track metrics including occupancy rates, tenant satisfaction scores, maintenance response times, budget variance, energy consumption, and service level agreement compliance. Develop scorecards and dashboards that provide real-time visibility into operational performance.
Data Collection & Analysis Gather data from multiple sources including property management systems, building automation systems, financial platforms, and client feedback tools. Cleanse, validate, and integrate data to ensure accuracy and consistency. Perform variance analysis, trend identification, and root cause analysis to understand performance drivers and identify areas requiring attention.
Performance Reporting Create comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports for internal leadership and client stakeholders. Translate complex data into clear visualizations and executive summaries that highlight achievements, challenges, and improvement opportunities. Present findings to property managers, facility teams, and client executives with actionable recommendations.
Benchmarking & Comparative Analysis Conduct benchmarking studies comparing property performance against industry standards, peer portfolios, and historical baselines. Analyze cost per square foot, energy efficiency ratings, maintenance spend ratios, and operational metrics to identify competitive positioning and improvement potential. Research market trends and best practices to inform performance targets.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives Partner with operations teams to identify performance gaps and develop improvement plans. Track the effectiveness of optimization initiatives including preventive maintenance programs, energy conservation measures, vendor consolidation efforts, and process automation. Quantify the business impact of improvement projects through before-and-after analysis.
Client Performance Reviews Support quarterly business reviews and client meetings by preparing performance summaries, trend analysis, and strategic recommendations. Help account teams demonstrate value delivery through data-driven insights. Address client inquiries regarding performance metrics and collaborate on goal-setting for future periods.
Required QualificationsEducation & Experience Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Real Estate, Statistics, Engineering, or related field. 2-4 years of experience in performance analysis, business intelligence, or data analytics, preferably within commercial real estate, facilities management, property services, or related industries.
Technical Proficiency Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, complex formulas, data modeling, and macro development. Proficiency with data visualization and business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView. Experience with SQL or other database query languages for data extraction. Familiarity with property management platforms (Yardi, MRI, JD Edwards) or facilities management systems (Maximo, Planon, Archibus) is highly beneficial.
Analytical Skills Strong quantitative analysis capabilities with experience handling large datasets from multiple sources. Ability to identify patterns, anomalies, and correlations within operational and financial data. Experience with statistical analysis, forecasting techniques, and predictive modeling is advantageous.
Industry Knowledge Understanding of commercial real estate operations including property management, lease administration, facilities maintenance, and building systems. Knowledge of key performance metrics relevant to real estate including net operating income, operating expense ratios, occupancy costs, and sustainability indicators. Familiarity with service level agreements and contract performance management.
Preferred QualificationsExperience with building automation systems and energy management platforms. Knowledge of sustainability metrics and reporting frameworks (LEED, ENERGY STAR, GRESB). Certification in data analytics or business intelligence tools. Understanding of Agile or continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma). Experience supporting client-facing roles or presenting to executive audiences.

Proactive Problem-Solving: Initiative to investigate performance anomalies, ask insightful questions, and recommend solutions rather than simply reporting numbers.
Collaboration: Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams including operations, finance, IT, and client services. Ability to gather requirements and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Time Management: Capability to manage multiple reporting cycles, ad-hoc analysis requests, and project deadlines simultaneously while maintaining quality standards.
