The House Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and professional transportation for family members while ensuring the cleanliness, maintenance, and roadworthiness of all assigned vehicles. The role also includes assisting with household errands, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting the family's daily transportation needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport family members to offices, schools, airports, hospitals, shopping centers, and other destinations.
- Follow all traffic rules and maintain a safe driving record.
- Ensure vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and fueled at all times.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Coordinate vehicle servicing, repairs, insurance renewals, pollution certificates, and registration renewals.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, servicing, and expenses.
- Assist with household errands such as purchasing groceries, collecting parcels, paying bills, and banking tasks when required.
- Handle airport pickups and drop-offs for family members and guests.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the family's personal information and travel plans.
- Be flexible with working hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime when required.
- Assist in loading and unloading luggage, shopping bags, and other personal belongings.
- Ensure the vehicle always contains emergency equipment and a valid first-aid kit.
- Keep all vehicle documents updated and readily available.
- Follow instructions from the employer and provide courteous and professional service at all times.
Qualifications
- Minimum Higher Secondary (Plus Two) or equivalent.
- Valid LMV Driving Licence with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a personal or house driver.
- Good knowledge of local routes, traffic regulations, and GPS navigation.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to communicate in Malayalam; knowledge of English and Hindi is an added advantage.
