Position: Purchase Engineer

Education Requirement
Diploma/B. E- Electronics, Electrical, BSc- Electronics from recognized University -
Overall Responsibility
o Procurement of transformers, wires, PCB, Heat sink, IC’s, OLR Contractors, SMP’s, Motor Pumps.
o Procurement of other electrical materials like capacitors, relay, resistor, contractors, switchgears etc.
o Study of documents, catalogues, and drawings
o Invite quotations from suppliers and negotiating best possible rates.
o Procurement of material as per the dwg / data sheet
o Co-ordinate supplier payment to accounts department
o Follow-up material through email and phone
o Arrange inspection at supplier end, if required
o Manage material transport.
o Coordinating the design changes with the vendors and procurement of material accordingly.
o Coordination of imports material with vendor & commercial department
- Documentation of procurement process
o Input all required data vendor registration.
o Preparing purchase order in system
o Keeping records of completed & in process PR.
o Updated BOM
o Updated component dwgs
o Record of quotations of various suppliers
o Co-ordinate with design team to develop new components.
o Validate & assess vendor records, technical capabilities, setup facilities.
o Arrange meeting and discuss quality, cost and delivery of components.
o Reduce costs by process improvement & rate negotiations.
o Discuss credit period with supplier as per company policy.
o Co-ordinate the procurement process by providing necessary documents.
o Discuss and coordinate the manufacturing constraints / improvements / suggestions of vendors with the design department.
o Co-ordinate payments with accounts department
o Arrange third party inspection for critical components.
o Confirm the quality reports and their perseverance.
o Corrective action on NC components
o Continuous improvement in quality by process control
