About the Role
Shikhar Group of Industries is looking for an experienced CNC & UV Printed Door Design Specialist to create premium and commercially viable door designs for our range of CNC grooved and UV printed doors.
The ideal candidate should have strong professional experience in CNC door pattern designing, CNC grooving layouts, UV printed door designs, and wood/wood-grain aesthetics.
We are looking for someone who understands not only how to make a design look good digitally, but also how that design will be CNC grooved, UV printed, manufactured and finished on an actual door panel.
Key Responsibilities
- Create original and premium CNC grooving patterns for doors.
- Develop modern, luxury, contemporary and traditional door designs.
- Design patterns specifically suitable for UV printing on plywood/MDF/door panels.
- Prepare designs that correctly coordinate CNC grooves with UV printed textures, wood grains, metallic elements and other decorative finishes.
- Create complete door compositions including borders, panels, grooves, geometric patterns and decorative elements.
- Ensure designs are practical for actual CNC production and do not contain technically difficult or impractical cuts.
- Prepare production-ready files suitable for CNC routing/grooving.
- Modify existing designs based on our requirements and create multiple variations of successful designs.
- Understand door proportions, panel divisions, groove depth/width considerations and visual alignment.
- Work closely with our production and marketing teams to develop commercially attractive door collections.
- Maintain organized design files and provide editable/source files.
Required Skills & Experience
Mandatory:
- Proven professional experience in CNC door design / CNC grooving.
- Strong knowledge of UV printed door design and manufacturing.
- Experience designing patterns specifically for wooden doors, plywood, MDF or similar panels.
- Excellent understanding of CNC routing/grooving requirements.
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, AutoCAD, ArtCAM or similar CNC/design software.
- Ability to create designs that are both aesthetically premium and technically manufacturable.
- Strong understanding of wood textures, grains, panel layouts and decorative door design.
Preferred Experience
Experience with:
- 3D/4D UV printed doors
- CNC grooved doors
- Wooden door and plywood manufacturing
- Metallic/CNC door designs
- Geometric and contemporary door patterns
- ArtCAM or similar CNC toolpath/design software
- Creating production-ready CNC files
What We Are Looking For
We are not looking for a general graphic designer.
We specifically need a designer who understands:
Door Design → CNC Grooving → UV Printing → Final Physical Product
The candidate should be able to look at a reference door design, understand its construction, and create an original, production-ready design suitable for our manufacturing process.
Portfolio Requirement
Applicants must provide a portfolio of previous CNC door / UV printed door designs.
Applications without relevant door-design work may not be considered.
Compensation
Freelance / Project-Based – Compensation will be based on experience, portfolio and number/complexity of designs.
We are open to establishing a long-term working relationship with the right designer.
