Primary Responsibility
Build and expand our distributor network across assigned territories.
The primary objective of this role is to identify, appoint, activate and grow distributors who can drive product availability and sales in their territories.
Key ResponsibilitiesDistributor Acquisition
- Identify potential distributors in assigned territories.
- Meet and evaluate distributor prospects.
- Present company products and commercial terms.
- Negotiate and finalize distributor appointments.
Distributor Activation
- Ensure newly appointed distributors place initial orders.
- Support distributors in launching products in their markets.
- Train distributor teams on product range and selling points.
Distributor Growth
- Develop business plans with distributors.
- Drive repeat orders and territory expansion.
- Monitor distributor performance and market coverage.
Market Intelligence
- Gather information on competitor pricing, schemes and distribution strategies.
- Identify new geographic opportunities for expansion.
- Provide regular market feedback to management.
Collections
- Ensure timely collections from distributors.
- Monitor outstanding payments and follow up where required.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role will be measured primarily by:
- Number of distributors appointed
- Number of active distributors
- Monthly distributor billing
- Repeat orders from distributors
- Collections efficiency
Candidate ProfileRequired
- 2–6 years of experience in FMCG, consumer goods, agarbatti, ayurvedic products, food products or general trade distribution.
- Experience appointing distributors.
- Strong relationship building and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
- Self driven and comfortable working independently.
Preferred
- Existing distributor network in North India.
- Experience launching products in new territories.
- Experience with low ticket, high volume consumer products.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
