The Store Keeper will be responsible for managing all store and inventory operations, ensuring accurate stock management, efficient procurement support, and compliance with organizational procedures. The role requires hands-on experience in ERP systems, stock coding, and inventory controls to support smooth business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory & Stock Management
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials using ERP systems.
- Implement and monitor stock coding, tagging, and classification for efficient retrieval and control.
- Conduct periodic stock verification, cycle counts, and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy.
- Monitor stock levels, identify shortages, and raise timely requisitions.
- Procurement & Material Handling
- Coordinate with the procurement department for timely ordering of materials.
- Assist in vendor follow-up, quotations comparison, and purchase order preparation.
- Ensure proper receipt, inspection, and quality check of incoming materials as per specifications.
- Arrange safe storage, preservation, and handling of materials as per company standards.
- ERP & Documentation
- Manage inventory transactions, stock reports, and movement tracking through ERP.
- Maintain proper documentation of GRN (Goods Receipt Note), issue slips, purchase requests, and return notes.
- Generate daily/weekly/monthly reports on inventory and consumption for management review.
- Compliance & Controls
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and audit requirements.
- Prevent pilferage, stock discrepancies, and wastage through strict control measures.
- Train and guide junior store staff in ERP usage, stock handling, and compliance procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in storekeeping / inventory management, preferably in a Landscaping or Construction area.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally ERP, Zoho, or equivalent).
- Experience in stock coding, barcoding, and classification systems.
- Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor coordination.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
