Job Summary
The Demi Chef de Partie assists the Chef de Partie in managing a specific section of the kitchen and is responsible for preparing high-quality food while maintaining hygiene, safety, and quality standards. The role supports efficient kitchen operations and ensures timely meal preparation for patients, staff, attendants, and visitors.
Key ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation & Production
- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food as per standardized recipes and menus.
- Prepare ingredients, sauces, soups, salads, and other food items as assigned.
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and portion control.
- Support the Chef de Partie in managing daily kitchen operations.
Kitchen Operations
- Organize and maintain assigned workstations and kitchen equipment.
- Ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals according to production schedules.
- Coordinate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth workflow.
- Assist in monitoring food production and service standards.
Food Safety & Hygiene
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and labeling of food items.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
- Comply with HACCP, infection control, and hospital dietary guidelines.
Inventory & Cost Control
- Assist in stock checking and inventory management.
- Report shortages, damages, or expired items to the Chef de Partie.
- Minimize food wastage through proper handling and storage practices.
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
Team Support
- Guide and assist Commis Chefs and Kitchen Assistants when required.
- Participate in training and skill development activities.
- Maintain positive teamwork and communication within the kitchen.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, Food Production, or related field.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in a professional kitchen.
- Experience in hospitals, healthcare facilities, hotels, or institutional catering is preferred.
Pay: ₹11,991.19 - ₹20,048.01 per month
